Welcome to WishBoard ("WishBoard", "Platform", "we", "our", or "us"), a wedding gift registry service operated by Kashyap Technologies Pvt. Ltd., located in Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WishBoard.in and any related pages or services. By creating an account, building or sharing a registry, opening a registry link, reserving a gift, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What WishBoard Is

WishBoard lets couples create a private wedding gift registry, add gift ideas (from our curated catalogue or by pasting a link to a product on a third-party website), and share that registry with their guests through a private link. Guests can view the registry and reserve a gift so it is not duplicated by another guest.

WishBoard is a discovery and coordination tool only. We do not sell products, hold inventory, set prices, process payments, or facilitate, fulfil, or deliver any transaction between guests and third-party merchants. Guests purchase gifts directly from the retailer of their choice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and be capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law, to use the Platform.

3. Accounts

A couple may create an account using an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. Guests do not need an account to view a registry or reserve a gift.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly at Support@wishboard.in if you suspect any unauthorised use. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.

4. Your Registry and Your Content

As a couple, you may add gift ideas, your names, your wedding date, your city, and similar details to your registry. You are responsible for ensuring the information you submit is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of others.

You retain ownership of the content you add. You grant WishBoard a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process that content solely to operate your registry and the share link you choose to distribute. You may edit or remove your content, or request deletion of your account and registry, at any time.

5. How Gift Reservation Works

When a guest selects a gift, WishBoard marks that gift as reserved so that no other guest reserves the same item. Reserving a gift is a personal, voluntary indication of an intention to give that gift. It is not a payment, a booking, a binding contract, or a guarantee that the gift will actually be purchased, delivered, or received.

Guests buy gifts themselves, directly from third-party retailers. WishBoard does not verify, guarantee, or take responsibility for whether a reserved gift is ultimately purchased or delivered, or for its price, quality, condition, timing, shipping, or returns.

6. Share Links and Guest Access

A registry is reachable only through the unique private link generated for it. Anyone who has that link can view the registry and reserve a gift. As a couple, you are responsible for deciding with whom you share your link.

Guests can see only whether a gift is available or already reserved. Guests cannot see the identity of any other guest or who reserved which gift; that information is visible only to the couple. When reserving a gift, a guest may be asked to provide a name and, optionally, an email address, and is responsible for any information they choose to provide.

7. Third-Party Websites and Purchases

The Platform may display product information and links from third-party websites, including e-commerce platforms. WishBoard does not own or operate those websites and does not control or guarantee product availability, descriptions, pricing, quality, shipping, delivery, returns, or warranties. Product details shown on WishBoard are sourced from third parties and may be inaccurate or out of date; please confirm details on the retailer's own website before purchasing.

Any purchase you make on a third-party website is solely between you and that website and is governed by that website's terms and policies. WishBoard is not a party to any such transaction.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Upload or share content that is harmful, misleading, fraudulent, obscene, infringing, or otherwise unlawful.
• Attempt to access another couple's registry, account, or data, or any part of the Platform you are not authorised to access.
• Probe, scan, overload, disrupt, or interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Platform.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Use the Platform for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted by us, including scraping or bulk extraction of data.

9. Fees

WishBoard is currently free to create and share a registry, and free for guests to use. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, we will make the pricing clear before you choose to use any paid feature.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, logos, text, graphics, design, and functionality of the Platform itself are owned by or licensed to Kashyap Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without our prior written permission. This does not affect your ownership of the content you add to your own registry.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle personal information. By using WishBoard, you consent to those practices.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee continuous or uninterrupted availability, error-free or secure operation, the accuracy or completeness of user-generated or third-party content, or the availability, price, or quality of any third-party product.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kashyap Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or gifts, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, or to any transaction with a third-party retailer.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform shall not exceed INR 1,000 or the amount required under applicable law, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kashyap Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and its directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any law or third-party right.

15. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request deletion of your account and registry. We may suspend or terminate access to any account that violates these Terms, that we reasonably believe may harm the Platform, other users, or any third party, or as required by law.

16. Changes to the Platform and to These Terms

We may modify, add, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

18. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign them without our consent.

Kashyap Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("WishBoard", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and protect it, and your choices, when you use WishBoard.in.

We follow a simple principle: collect as little as possible, use it only to make the registry work, and never sell it.

1. Information We Collect

If you are a couple

When you create an account and build a registry, we may collect:

• Your email address, and a password (which is stored only in a securely hashed form by our authentication provider; we never see your raw password), or, if you use Google Sign-In, the basic profile information Google shares with us (such as your name and email).
• Details you choose to add to your registry, such as your and your partner's names, your wedding date, and your city.
• The gift ideas you add, including items from our catalogue and links to products you paste from third-party websites.

If you are a guest

Guests do not create an account. When a guest reserves a gift, we collect the name they provide and, optionally, an email address if they choose to give one. A guest's name is shown only to the couple.

Information collected automatically

Like most online services, we and our infrastructure providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device and operating system information, access times, and basic log data, to keep the service secure and reliable.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage couple accounts and registries.
• Verify email addresses and send service-related messages (such as confirmation and password-reset emails).
• Operate the registry and the gift-reservation feature, including ensuring a reserved gift is not duplicated.
• Show a couple who reserved which gift on their own registry.
• Maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Platform and prevent abuse.
• Respond to your enquiries and support requests, and comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Privacy by Design for Guests

A registry is accessible only through the unique private link the couple chooses to share. Guests can see whether a gift is available or already reserved, but never the identity of who reserved it, and never any other couple's registry. Only the couple can see who reserved which gift on their own board. Guests have no direct access to our database.

4. Authentication and Email

Couples may register using email and password or Google Sign-In. We use email verification links to confirm account ownership. In the future, we may introduce phone-number verification using a one-time password (OTP) service. If we do, this Policy will be updated.

5. Service Providers and Sharing

We share personal information only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf and solely to provide their services to us, including:

• Supabase – database and authentication.
• Vercel – hosting and infrastructure.
• Google – Google Sign-In, if you choose to use it.
• Resend – delivery of service emails such as confirmation and password-reset messages.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of WishBoard, our users, or the public.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in across pages and to operate core features. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your information is stored and processed by our service providers, whose servers may be located outside India. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in those locations, subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated registry data, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information (couples can also edit their details within the Platform).
• Delete your account and associated personal information.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a request, email us at Support@wishboard.in. Guests who wish to have a reservation or name removed may contact the couple or email us.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and database-level security that scope each couple's data to their own account. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

WishBoard is intended for adults planning or attending a wedding and is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Websites

Registries may link to third-party websites. When you leave WishBoard and visit an external site, your activity is governed by that site's own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
